To the regular person, they may just seem like regular accessories to stack papers together for better organization. However, to the creative mind that thinks out of the box, the paper clip is a multipurpose tool that can be used in so many ways. You may have seen them lying around the house, but you may have never seen them serve any other purpose besides putting papers together. However, by the end of this article, you will have learned multiple creative ways in which you can use paper clips.
DIY Keyring
Do you keep losing your keys or don't have enough keychains around the house? Simply unwind a paperclip and make a circle out of it by wrapping it around a pen or pencil and wrapping it twice. Take it off the pen and slide your keys inside. There you go; all your keys are now neatly put together.
Unclogging holes
You may have multiple daily use items around the house, which tend to have clogged holes, such as spray bottles, glue containers, salt, and paper shakers. The humble paper clip comes to the rescue again. You need to stick one sharp end of the paper clip in the clogged hole, press it down, and swirl it around. The hole will easily open.
DIY bookmark
If you are an avid book reader, you know how bothersome it can be to lose track of the pages you are reading. Suppose you are in the middle of reading a book and need to put it down for the day and do not have a bookmark to save the page you are on. Earmarking is not an option, so what to do? Take a paper clip and tie a ribbon or thick thread at one end and slide the clip on the page to save the page.
Cleaning a hairbrush
Who doesn’t like a clean hairbrush? Take a paperclip and open it. Run one end along with the brush bristles and remove the hair stuck at the base and around the bristles. You will have a clean brush in no time.
Cleaning a keyboard
Your laptop or pc keyboards tend to accumulate a lot of dirt and grime around and under the keys. If you want a quick fix, all you need to do is wrap a small piece of tissue around one end of the Paper Clip to make a small thin cleaning brush, which you can use to clean the sides and under the keys.
